About Our Nurse Career Consultant
|Nurse Career Advisory
Nurse Career Advisory was founded by Chioma Ugwuoke, an experienced NHS nurse leader and recruitment panel member. As the founder of Nurse Career Advisory and an NHS recruitment panel member, Chioma bridges the gap between clinical experience and the NHS recruitment process. She has experience contributing to interview assessment and recruitment decision-making processes and understands how candidates are evaluated, how scoring frameworks are applied, and how evidence is assessed against job requirements and person specifications. Â This insight enables Nurse Career Advisory to provide practical, evidence-informed support that helps nurses present their skills, experience and potential with confidence throughout the recruitment process. Whether you are a newly qualified nurse, internationally educated nurse, nursing associate, student nurse or experienced registered nurse, Nurse Career Advisory provides personalised support to help you navigate NHS recruitment, career progression and professional development with greater confidence and clarity.
Your Career Journey
Why Nurse Career Advisory was created
When I first moved to the UK as an internationally educated nurse, I had to navigate an unfamiliar healthcare system, recruitment processes and career pathways with very little guidance. Like many nurses, I had to learn how to adapt my knowledge, skills and experience to a completely different professional environment. Despite having nursing knowledge and experience, I quickly realised that understanding how to demonstrate that experience effectively within NHS applications and interviews was just as important as possessing the skills themselves. Over time, through education, professional development, leadership experience and participation in NHS recruitment processes, I developed a deeper understanding of what helps candidates present their experience with confidence and clarity. Nurse Career Advisory was created to provide the guidance, support and practical insight that many nurses wish they had when navigating career opportunities, applications, interviews and professional development.
